He is young, he is talented, and Indonesia should be proud to have a potential pianist like him. He is Jonathan Kuo, a 16 years old pianist who has a lot of achievements in classical music. Jonathan started to play piano since he was 7 years old and became the student of Iswargia R. Sudarno, the man behind Jakarta Sinfonietta, an orchestra consists of professional classical musicians from all ages. That was also the beginning of Jonathan's ever-growing passion for classical music and his dream to be one of the world-class pianists. Even in his early age, the boy who is the son of Linda Kartasasmita and John Kuo was capable to play the masterpiece of famous pianists, such as Chopin, Beethoven, Prokofiev, Bach, and Liszt.
“He is one of the most reliable and potential young pianists in Indonesia. His future is bright enough to make Indonesia proud,” Iswargia says. With his remarkable skill, Jonathan has been invited and performed in a lot of music festivals, both local and international. He also won various piano competitions, such as The 1st Winner of Thailand 1st Chopin International Competition in 2014, Runner Up of Medan International Piano Competition in 2015, and Runner Up of Indonesia Steinway Youth Piano Competition in 2016.
