Ferretti Yacht Presents World-Class Italian Craftsmanship.

In recent years, the Asian yachting scene has seen the astounding growth that offers promising opportunities in the luxury yachting industry. Southeast Asia region particularly Indonesia, soon has the potential to become the Caribbean of the East with abundant landscapes and marvellous cruising grounds surrounded by thousands of islands, some undiscovered.

Last month I was invited to Singapore by Yacht Sourcing, the exclusive dealer of Ferretti Group yachts in Indonesia, to attend the Ferretti Yachts Press Day and Sea Trial at ONE 15 Marina Club Sentosa. The Ferretti Yachts 550 and Ferretti Yachts 850 was introduced at the Singapore Yacht Show 2018, while Ferretti Yachts 780 launched for the first time in Asia.

Ferretti Yachts is a brand of Ferretti Group, a world leader in the leisure boating industry, considering the steady product and process innovation, as well as the constant search for cutting-edge technological solutions. Ferretti Group has a unique portfolio of prestigious and exclusive brands, namely Ferretti Yachts, Riva, Pershing, Itama, Mochi Craft, CRN and Custom Line.

I had the opportunity to sail on the Ferretti Yacht 850. At first impression, the yacht is immediately striking for its bold profile, characterised by sharp angles that give it a strong and aggressive personality. Two large trapezoidal hull windows with integrated portholes are streamlined to maximises the amount of natural light and provide magnificent views from the interior. While the main deck enhances the yacht’s dynamic personality with a single glazed window that cuts across the entire superstructure.

The yacht’s creative décor is the work of the Group Engineering Department’s interior designers who ensure the end product is a break from conventional standards of on-board furnishing. The main deck gave a sense of contemporary, metropolitan elegance. While owner and guests can find facilities such as a playroom and karaoke area below the deck. The flybridge is entirely furnished with freestanding furniture to suit individual owners’ needs and the foredeck can be used for relaxation with ensured privacy when moored stern-to. The area also features a large central sun pad, a dining table and seating for twelve.

Equipped with MAN twin V12 1800 mhp engines for a cruising speed of 26 knots and a maximum speed of 29 knots, as well as Seakeeper stabiliser for maximum comfort during navigation, the celebrated “Tai He Ban” special edition is truly the new luxury icon, offering the opportunity to live in a magnificent loft surrounded by the sea.

Ferretti Group has always distinguished themselves in the international boating sector for their outstanding quality, impressive safety and excellent performance at sea, as well as for their exclusive design and timeless appeal.
